Little Gardner's

Hi everyone, this week was an exciting week as New World invited us to their store and to water the in store “Little Garden.”

Ben, Jordan and Lila were lucky enough to be invited along. Once we got to New World we met a lady called Mazz and she showed us around.

Mazz first gave us a demonstration of how the little gardens work. You all watched in amazement as the little dirt disk grew so big. Mazz took us over to the in store “Little Garden” and gave you all a watering can to water the garden.

We have also been enjoying planting our little gardens and watering them everyday.

First we placed the little disk of dirt in the bowl and you poured the water on top of the disk. We watch carefully as the disk expanded. Next we  stirred the dirt and remaining water all together.

Next it was time to fill the little pot with the dirt and place the seeds on top.

Happy Father's Day

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago we celebrated father's day and the babies all enjoyed decorating mugs for their dads. They had smiles on their faces as the drew on the mugs and we discussed giving the mugs to our dads as we decorated. It was a fun experience and the children showed an interest on drawing on something they normally wouldn't be allowed too.

Here are some photos of the children creating their fathers day gifts.

What did you do for father's day?

Music Time

Hi everyone, here in the fantails room music has been playing  and the children have been loving dancing, drumming, shaking and singing along to the music.

On Monday I thought I would set up a little music area as it was looking a bit stormy outside. I set up a circle with some drums, piano, xylophones and scarves for dancing. I put the stereo on and the music up loud.

The children enjoyed the freedom to dance or play the instruments as they pleased.
